Looking out to the east from the flanks of Mount Lebanon onto
the eastern Homs basalt province (Syria). The basalt erupted onto an old landsurface
which includes a broad valley. This valley and its headwaters + wind gaps are
offset by the Yammouneh Fault giving left-lateral displacements. However, the
post-lava valley (here deeply incised as a gorge) is not offset.
