Biography

I’m a PhD researcher in the Sustainability Research Institute and the Priestley International Centre for Climate, and the Centre for Decision Research. My research focuses on communicating localised climate impacts to the lay general public. I am being supervised by by Suraje Dessai, Wandi Bruine de Buine and Andrea Taylor.

Before returning to university, I worked in marketing and communications in the UK & international retail sector.

Project title

What impact does the media coverage of climate change and extreme weather events have on people’s likelihood of taking climate action?

An analysis of how the dual media narratives interact and the impact this has on the individual’s perception of the need to respond to climate risks.
