Did Physics and Mathematics at University College of Rhodesia & Nyasaland (now Zimbabwe), gaining a B.Sc from the University of London, followed by an M.Phil. in Geophysics (palaeomagnetism) also at UL and then further work in palaeomagnetism for a Ph.D. at U of Alberta, Canada. Subsequently taught Physics and Geophysics at U. of Zimbabwe, starting and running the M.Sc. course in Exploration Geophysics. Moved to Namibia as Chief Geophysicist of the Tsumeb Corporation (Newmont Mining); joined Robertson Research International in North Wales as a Senior Geophysicist; worked for GETECH in Leeds as Geophysical Research Manager. Founded Reid Geophysics in 1999 and works as a consultant in Exploration Geophysics. After a long spell as deputy Editor-in-Chief of Geophysical Prospecting, has stepped down to Associate Editor.

Research Interests: Geophysical Survey design. Advanced processing of potential fields geophysical survey data. Interpretive enhancement of potential fields geophysical data, notably Euler deconvolution.
