The Moine Thrust at the Stack of Glencoul
The Stack of Glencoul is relatively remote but remains highly visited - by virtue of its clear exposures and spectacular mylonites. Pipe Rock in the footwall to the thrust shows very high shear strains, with skolithos burrows almost parallel to bedding.
