Looking SE across the southern Bekaa valley, from the Barouk massif to the snowy Mount Hermon. The western (left) side of the valley is defined by the Yammouneh fault. The valley, at an elevation of 800m above sea level, is an important modern depocentre receiving debris from the eroding anticlines around the flanks.
