Glencoul Thrust across Loch Glencoul.

The Glencoul Thrust viewed across Loch Glencoul, Assynt.  To the left, Lewisian Gneiss of the Foreland. The sloping escarpment is Cambrian quartzite, also of the Foreland.  The Glencoul Thrust runs above the bench above this escarpment: the rugged hills to the right are underlain by Lewisian Gneiss that forms part of the Glencoul Thrust Sheet.
