View east across Loch Eriboll, N. Scotland, towards the Moine Thrust Zone between Ben Arnaboll (north, left), An t-Sron (centre left), and Meall Bad a' Mhartuin (right, south). The thrust transport direction is WNW, towards the viewer. The high ground consists of (from bottom to top) overturned Cambrian quartzites, unconformable Lewisian gneisses and thrusted Moine schists. The bright green vegetation covers imbricates in the Durness limestones. The big hill to the right (south) is Ben Hope, the northernmost Munro (i.e. >3000 feet) in Scotland.
