ESRC Consumer Data Research Centre is to be hosted in Leeds as a collaboration between the Faculty of Environment and the Business School (LUBS). The work will involve obtaining datasets and providing services and infrastructure to academics and other partners across the country, with a particular focus on consumer data.  Alongside this will be a programme of research in consumer data analytics, together with plans for a major new MRetail programme

Prof William Young is part of the project team at Leeds and will be looking at company data on green consumers.  William said: "This is a great opportunity for analysing green consumer data from companies, especially retailers. It will give us a chance to look at trends and typologies of consumer to better understand green purchasing behaviour and how this is related to consumer green attitudes".
