Summary

This seed funding sponsored an international workshop and a series of research visits organised around the general theme of improved observations and interpretations of the Earth's magnetic field.  A main goal of the project was to enhance the research profile of young scientists by fostering interaction with more established researchers.  The collaborations that were developed resulted in a number of joint publications, successful applications for research funding, and the obtainment of post-doctoral fellowships at UC San Diego, the University of Alberta, and the University of Leeds.
