COSIC aims to quantify the climate impact of spreading contrails by making direct observations with dedicated research flights, analysis of data and climate modelling. This Leeds led project links with the Universities and Manchester and Reading, it is also utilizes the UK atmospheric science research aircraft, supported by NERC and the Met Office. It also engages with stakeholders.
