Climate Change Machine

Climate Change Machine

The entrance foyer of  the School of Earth and Environment  features our water driven climate change machine built by Tony Windross and Rhys Moore in the workshop. School visits can be arranged and are great fun.

The climate change machine is a water-driven analogue of climate change.   It models energy flows in the Earth-Sun system to show how the Earth’s temperature is affected by greenhouse gases and changes in the Sun.

The image shows PhD student Jayne Windeatt hosting a group of school children with the climate change machine. See full story here.
