Biography
Ronan is an EPSRC fellow at the Sustainability Research Institute, School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. In 2011 he completed his doctoral thesis 'Socio-technical Transitions and Infrastructure Networks' which discussed the importance of flexible and sustainable energy distribution systems in the transition to a low carbon economy in the UK.
His research explores the interdependencies between technology and institutions in large scale infrastructure systems and the roles of different actors in shaping change e.g. regulators, local authorities and network companies.
