Biography

Since 2010 I have been working as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy and the Centre for Low Carbon Futures. I have an MSc in Energy and Environment from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Ocean Science/Technology from Heriot-Watt University.

My current research involves analysis of the least cost pathways to carbon emission abatement for city regions, focusing on Leeds City Region. Working with the Committee on Climate Change and Stockholm Environment Institute to create regional Marginal Abatement Cost Curves for a variety of economic sectors, as well as looking at the potential economic benefits of abatement for the region.

In 2010 I worked on the creation and operation of a survey and a choice experiment, which was designed to assess the current and the potential future efforts of businesses in the areas of carbon mitigation and energy efficiency. The survey results have contributed to Government policy via the Department for Energy and Climate Change's 'Green Growth Strategy' which was released in May 2011.
