After completing an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Leeds, Daniel was based at the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) for 5 years. Firstly as a postgraduate student, with the PhD being conferred by Bristol University, then as an ice sheet modeller. After a 2 year postdoctoral position at the British Geological Survey (BGS), Daniel joined the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds in 2011, as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow, jointly funded by BGS and the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS). Daniel has recently been appointed as a Lecturer in Global Change Modelling.
