Teaching Interests

I am the module coordinator for SOEE1470 Introduction to Computing and Data Analysis and SOEE2650 GIS for Geoscientists. I teach courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to students and staff in geology, geophysics and environmental science and provide GIS tutorial support to students working on their dissertations.

I am part of a team working on creating a virtual training environment for field mapping. Find out more details about the Virtual Landscapes project and explore our landscapes. The project has won the Times Higher Education Award for Outstanding Digital Innovation in Teaching or Research 2016.

Support duties

I am responsible for the Kennedy Library in the School of Earth and Environment and am a School Representative for the University Library. The Kennedy Library includes approximately 11 000 geological and other thematic maps. If you are an external user and wish to consult the map collection please email me in advance.
