School of Earth and Environment

SAG (Sustainable Action Group) Event listing

What is SAG?

We are a mixed group of students and staff with an active interest in talking about sustainability issues, watching films with a social, ethical or environmental focus, and sharing information and ideas to stimulate thinking about environmental and sustainability issues. We also take part in responding to consultations and we work with the University to achieve sustainability on campus. We meet every week in teaching time, in the Environment building (either the coffee area or LTE).  Date and time to be decided so watch this space.

Theme for the year

Last year (2008/9) we decided to centre our activities around the theme of sustainable food, culminating in a Food Fair which showcased organic, local food, recipes and samples as well as information on local and international groups promoting sustainable food.  At the first meeting of the new Semester, we can decide on how we want to spend our SAG time in 2009/10.  It could be based around a new theme, or a number of themes.  If you would like to be involved, come along to the first meeting when the date is announced or email either of the contacts listed below.

Mailing list

If you would like to be alerted about these activities email Lucie Middlemiss or Jen Dyer.
