Leadership Calls Nominations for Two Elected Members of Steering Committee

The election is open to any senior academic (Grade 9/10) who does not already hold a substantive leadership role within the School, and who wishes to nominate themselves for a place on the Steering Committee for a one year term*.

Nominations for election are open from 9am Monday 2nd Dec, and will close at 5pm on Monday 16th Dec 2013.

Interested candidates are asked to upload their name and a short supporting statement (approx. 300 words, pdf format) detailing why they are particularly well suited to the role, and how they will approach strategic decision making on behalf of the School.

Please note:

  • Candidate nominations and pdf supporting statements will be added to an online voting system, and these details will eventually become visible to all SEE staff when the voting poll opens in the New Year.
  • Candidates who have put their name forward for other leadership roles within the School (e.g. Director of Research & Innovation; Institute Director; etc) are encouraged to apply for Steering. However, in the event that such a candidate makes a successful application to the aforementioned roles, their details will be removed from the Steering nominations list as they will not be eligible for elected membership status.

*The term for elected membership status will usually be for one full academic year; however, on this occasion the term will run for c.21 months (e.g. from Jan 2014 until Sept 2015).
