Student Sustainability Conference 2017

On Friday 3rd February 2017, the University of Leeds is hosting its first Student Conference on Sustainable Futures. This is a unique opportunity if you are a student at any level. The event will help you showcase your research, projects and creativity.

The aim of the conference is to shine a light on research excellence at Leeds; increasing the visibility of your work and roles in making Leeds University of the Year. The conference theme - 'Sustainable Perspectives on Future Challenges' - aims to inspire students from a wide range of disciplines.

If your work considers any aspect of sustainability please get involved. This might include innovative projects in carbon reduction or urban development, challenges in healthcare, social equality, policy and governance, international trade, sustainable energy, the circular economy or food security.

During the conference you'll have an opportunity to collaborate, discuss and exchange ideas, communicate your work thorough visual and verbal means, and gain valuable experience in thinking critically and innovatively to address local and global challenges.

The multi-disciplinary theme will create a better understanding of future sustainability challenges from multiple perspectives.
