Our free and open to all film series, ‘Speaking Truth to Power: Films for a Finite World’, continues with the last film of this academic year, Chasing Coral, co-hosted with the Priestley International Centre for Climate. The film was recommended by Dr Maria Beger, University Academic Fellow in Marine Conservation Biology at the University of Leeds, who has witnessed the death of corals on the Great Barrier Reef first hand in her research.

“From the makers of Chasing Ice comes the remarkable adventure of one team capturing our changing oceans. Coral reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate. A team of divers, photographers and scientists set out on a thrilling ocean adventure to discover why and to reveal the underwater mystery to the world.” (IMDB)

Directed by Jeff Orlowski, the film has had brilliant reviews, with a score of 8.6 on IMDB. One not to miss!
