ROCSOC

hjkl Leeds University Union
Earth Sciences Society

Congratulations!! In September you'll be coming to the most exciting University in the world (we think!) and you'll be studying in the very dynamic and friendly School of Earth and Environment!

I’m writing on behalf of RocSoc (or Leeds University Union Earth Science Society). We're the departmental society and it’s our job to organise lots of academic and social events for everyone who joins. Next year we will be continuing RocSoc’s legendary socials which include:
RocSoc ball.Weekly meetings in the pub
Otley Runs (themed pub crawls)
Trips paintballing and go-karting as well as the seriously classy balls that will be held in the summer and at Christmas.

To be able to take part in all the exciting events you will have to become a member for the bargain price of £20, which will give you lifetime membership and big discounts on all our events and socials.

But most importantly is the Freshers trip to Whitby, this is a weekend trip exclusively for you guys and is an excellent chance to get to know your course mates and have a lot of fun!! This trip has been run for many years now and is always a huge success, lots of people (including myself) found the friends made during the trip great friends throughout the year.

More information about Whitby and all other activities arranged by RocSoc can be found on the website: ROCSOC web pages.
