The Kennedy Library is open from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday and is in room 10.140 - just off the Red Route.

The Kennedy Library provides working space for students within the School of Earth and Environment. There is a small collection of key text books. The library holds PhD theses for SEE dating back to the 1950s and has a collection of approximately 11 000 geological maps with associated literature.

If you are not a member of the School of Earth and Environment and wish to visit the library to use the map collection, please get in touch with the librarian first as not all materials are available immediately.

The Kennedy Library is named for Professor W.Q. Kennedy, a past professor in the Department of Geology, who did geological research in Africa.  Professor Kennedy's collection was the core of the library when it was set up in the mid-1960s.
