Hydrochemistry Laboratory
This large lab is used for experiments and measurements on natural waters (e.g. groundwaters and sediment pore-waters) and soils/sediments. Typical methods include column experiments, soil microcosms, solution chemistry, and pore-water measurements using the Diffusive Equilibrium in Thin films (DET) and Diffusive Gradient in Thin films (DGT) techniques.
This wet chemistry laboratory is equipped with all the facilities required for the preparation of natural materials for analysis and experimentation (e.g. sediment columns and microcosms).
