School of Earth and Environment

3D Visualisation Facilities

3D terrain

An essential way of looking at data for the earth and environment is in three dimensions.  The School has a 3D visualisation facility that enables us to project in 3D on to a large screen.  Students and staff can view the inside of Hurricane Katrina or take a flight down the Afar Rift in East Africa.  Data from both student and research projects can be projected and used to bring new insights.
