Taster lectures are a great way to find out about the research undertaken by academic staff in the school, which feed directly into our undergraduate programmes. Highlights include Professor Jurgen Neuberg's exciting exploration into the continuing eruption of Soufriere Hills volcano in Montserrat and Dr Lindsay Bennett will take us through her often hair-raising experiences Chasing Tornadoes in the USA! For further details please see our taster lecture flyer!

Whether you join us at the beginning of the day or later on you can use one of our course specific 'planners' to work out which sessions to attend. At the end of all our talks there will be a short Q and A time which will continue in our main reception area should you have further questions. So feel free to pick the brains of our academic staff or current students who will be available all day. The admissions team, Jo Siddons, Natalie Ania and Admissions Tutor Phil Murphy will be on hand to answer any UCAS and admissions related questions such as accepted A-level combinations, non-standard qualifications and when to apply.

Look out for our fossil displays and posters in the main reception and around the school to tell you about fieldwork, programme information, spending a year in industry and our four year integrated masters programmes which include a year abroad in a wide variety of American and Australian Universities. In addition there will be guided visits to around our Geochemistry and Palaeontology-laboratories, times and group sizes will be limited, please ask about times on the day.

Tea, coffee and a selection of cakes will be available.
