Funding
Leeds University re-invests its fees income for the direct benefit of its students. In recent years, our students have enjoyed many improvements to student facilities, including a new swimming pool and upgraded sports facilities which opened in May 2010. Major investment went into the School of Earth and Environment's own new building, with its state-of-the-art labs and computer clusters. The University also uses fees to fund scholarships and bursaries for our students.
If it's your first degree you can apply for a loan to cover your fees, you won't have to pay anything up-front and your loan isn’t repayable until you are earning over £21,000 a year. Additional sources of funding include the Leeds Bursary and you may be entitled to one of our scholarships. You can also apply for a student maintenance loan to help cover your general expenses while you’re here. See our grants and loans pages for more information
For full and up-to-date information on all financial issues, prospective students can go to Your Finances. International students should then follow the links for further financial information from the International Students page.
