Scholarships 2018-19

We offer a number of scholarship opportunities to support and reward undergraduates who have the potential to be an outstanding student. If you are a UK or EU student you may also be able to receive government support to help towards your tuition fees and living costs.

Undergraduate – International

International Undergraduate Science and Engineering Scholarship

Summary: This scholarship is for you if you’re an internationally rated applicant who has been offered a place on one of the following undergraduate degree courses within the Faculty of Environment.

Value: £2,000 per year of study
Who is eligible: Any international applicant who has been offered a place on any of the undergraduate degree courses listed above.
How to apply: There is no separate application process for this scholarship however you will need to confirm that you meet the criteria listed below before you are able to receive the £2,000 reduction on your fees per year of study.
Deadline: No deadline.
Conditions: You must be self-funding, new to the University of Leeds, enter onto Level 1 and be classified as international for tuition fee purposes. You must not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.
You must achieve a yearly attainment percentage of 60% or above with all modules passed at the first attempt. The scholarship will be withheld in a year if you fail to achieve 60%, but will be reinstated the following year if your performance recovers to 60% or over.
£2,000 will be awarded per year of study. The scholarship is only available for years of study in Leeds. It will pause during any industrial placements or study abroad year and be reinstated on return to Leeds, based on academic achievement in the previous Leeds based year. If you’re a self-funding student who’s successfully completed the International Foundation Year (IFY) at the University of Leeds you’ll also be eligible for this scholarship.
How is the scholarship awarded? This is an automatic scholarship and will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

  • BA Environment and Business
  • Menv Environment and Business
  • BSc Sustainability and Environmental Management
  • Menv Sustainability and Environmental Management
