School of Earth and Environment

Undergraduate

At Leeds we offer the broadest range of Earth and Environment degrees anywhere in the country. Our students benefit from state of the art facilities in our 23.5 million building (opened April 2010), where a further 1 million has been invested in labs and teaching equipment. Leeds offers research-based teaching and you will learn from people who are international authorities in climate science, sustainability, geology and geophysics.

Earth and Environment's student societies, EnviroSoc, RocSoc and SAG (Sustainability Action Group) are funded by Leeds University Union and supported by the School. They consistently appear in the table of Leeds' very best student societies. Our School's annual 'Teaching Stars' competition lets students offer meaningful and immediate feedback that recognises excellence among those who teach them.
