MSc Sustainability (Ecological Economics)

"This programme provides a comprehensive perspective of the interactions of economics and the environment: not only urges the understanding of the consequences of the prevailing economic system in the environment, but it also encourages a systemic approach when analyzing possible solutions. The multidisciplinary context, inherent to Ecological Economics, has allowed me to have a complete mindset regarding the involved variables in environmental and economic issues.

The course has a strong focus on the tools, techniques and methodologies useful for economic and environmental analysis, which allows a critical understanding of the interactions of these two systems. Such a quantitative perspective allows grasping the theory behind environmental policy, exploring the relationship between economic and environmental indicators, understanding environmental accountability and replicating methodologies of environmental valuation.

One of the most important attributes of the course is the high qualified staff and the multicultural context of the classmates. Their diverse backgrounds and relevant experience provides rich and constantly updated environment.

Finally, this programme gave me the opportunity of meeting amazing people and making valuable friendships. It definitely was an unique and unforgettable experience."
