Development and Application of Development Indicators for Corporate Sustainability Performance Assessment
Supervisor: Dr Ralf Barkemeyer
This project aims at the development and application of corporate socioeconomic performance indicators that adequately signal corporate socio-economic performance whilst keeping the data mining process manageable and thus allowing for widespread application. It addresses a fundamental research gap in the field of socially responsible investment.
The area addressed by this project constitutes a major research gap within socially responsible investment and corporate sustainability management. Up to this point, the socioeconomic dimension of sustainability tends to be marginalized in corporate sustainability performance assessment. The increasing professionalization of socially responsible investment inevitably requires the development of robust tools and methodologies to signal socioeconomic performance that allow for widespread application.
