Entry Requirements
Below are general entry requirements please check the individual course pages for course specific requirements.
A good first degree (with a classification of 2:1 or better), or equivalent qualification. Mature applicants without a first degree or with a lower degree classification may be considered on the basis of their relevant industry experience and their potential for benefiting from the programme.
If English is not your first Language or your degree is not from a UK institution, the University will require you to have one of the following:

Below is a general guide of International and EU Qualifications and their equivalence to a UK 2:1 Bachelor Degree classification (our basic entry requirement). If your country is not listed we will check the equivalency for your qualification when you apply.

Iraq | Bachelor Degree with 75% or above |
Kazakhstan | Normally a specialist diploma plus a Masters – please check before applying |
Libya | Bachelor Degree from a University - at least 75% or cgpa of 2.8 - please check before applying |
Malawi | Applicants must have a Masters Degree |
Nigeria | Bachelor Degree - applicants should note the School of Earth and Environment requires a CGPA of 4.0/5.0 or better to be eligible for consideration |
Pakistan | 4 Year Bachelor Degree in a Science or Professional Subject - 70% or higher. Masters qualification required from Humanities and Commerce Subjects taken at Degree Level. |
USA | Bachelor Degree CGPA 3.0 |
